BSYHR Guidelines:
When traveling, students must travel in packs of 3 or more (for safety) .. this includes waiting for fellow students outside the bathroom.
Students must wear clothes that do not have slogans of questionable taste or referencing alcohol, tobacco, or drugs.
If clothing is viewed to be distracting to the learning environment, a same sex chaperone will speak to the student (in private) and politely ask him/her to wear more suitable clothing.
Faculty and chaperones are volunteers who are not paid for their services. They are here to give you the opportunity to have a positive musical experience. Please respect them and follow their instructions.
When you are on the risers, please direct all questions to the director or staff member in charge. Also, when on the risers, please keep talking to a minimum.
Students must stay within the boundaries of Luccock Park Camp. Hiking trips outside the camp must be accompanied by a chaperone, faculty member, or vocal music teacher.
Schedules will be posted in several places. Please make sure you are where you are supposed to be.
You will be wearing your Big Sky Youth Harmony Rendezvous shirt on the Friday night trip to Pine Creek Lodge, Saturday night dress rehearsal, and Sunday afternoon show. Please keep it clean and presentable.
If you have problems during the Rendezvous, please let your assigned staff member know about it. If your assigned staff member is not available, please see any staff member and they will do their best to help you.
Cell phones must not be used during practice sessions. This includes text messaging.
Please limit showers to 3 minutes to allow others the chance to shower.
Students are viewed as “ambassadors” of our program at all times…. The way we talk to everyone during the entire Rendezvous matters… the bus driver, fellow students, faculty, the cooks at the camp. We are on our best behavior and all the adults in contact with us will marvel at how wonderful we are as a group of young people. We say “thank you”. We are cools kids. People want to adopt us.
Having said all that, the two most important guidelines are: 1) Be safe. 2) Have fun!
