The 2008 Big Sky Youth Harmony Rendezvous was held June 18 to 22 at Luccock Park Camp. The primary activity at the Rendezvous is singing. Here the boys' chorus rehearses under the expert direction of Jim DeBusman.
The girls' chorus under the direction of Candy Johnson worked hard to develop a stunning choreography to enhance the entertainment value of their singing.
By the Saturday evening "dress rehearsal", the girls' chorus was looking and sounding good.
While singing Under the Boardwalk, the boys' chorus took a dizzying ride on the carousel.
The price of the camp includes three good meals a day, served in the dining hall by a friendly staff.
Recreation time allowed free time for activities that included frisbee...
board games...
Squirt gun fights (we were blessed with wonderfully warm sunny weather this year!)...
and hikes to the Pine Creek falls.
Each evening we enjoyed s'mores and watermelon around a campfire.
There was also time just to sit and relax.
Cary was joined by Andrew, Jason and David for a mixed quartet that sang both on the Saturday evening dress rehearsal and the Sunday concert.
While the Bloxham brothers sang standard barbershop songs in the background, Charles (and four others) presented an informercial about the joys and benefits of barbershop quartet singing. NOTE: ADDITIONAL PHOTOS ARE AVAILABLE BY CLICKING THE "LINK" ON THE PHOTO GALLERY PAGE!
